The Game called Life

by Eduard on July 4, 2009

So the ultimate game, is this thing called, life. Its rumored to be pretty neat. But not many people I know seem to possess one. Oh, no, I’m not saying I do… sheesh! I’m a low life… get it, like a my power meter aint full yet, and so I can do any super moves in life, no hyper speed, or wall jumping for me, just plain old get through the day.

Of course life has a couple of cheat codes, my favorite is probably rich dad, or then again, rich dead dad, could work pretty well to. Then there’s the exciting but boring, royalty code, which makes everything you do, including you’re first burp BBC world News, I could probably live without that.

What else is there to life? Oh yeah, its one of those games, like SimCity4 that really doesn’t have a point. In that if you end it right now, it wont make a difference to the world in general, only to you. That’s asking a lot, aint it? expecting people to play a game, for no real reason at all… actually given that how easy its to end The game, its quiet surprising people play it for as long as they do, I mean my dad’s been at it for 89 years, and I don’t know what his objectives are, but he doesn’t seem to be any nearer completing em.

That’s probably the one thing about life that is nice though, you get to set your own objectives, and goals, and design your own mission. Well in an ideal world at least you do, but too often we give up even these few good points of the game, and let others take our decisions for us… imagine playing 78 years of a fame like Splintercell, or one of the old, unilinear shoot em ups, with out any of the action? Not the best thing huh?
