This video shows a PSP slim running “UEFA euro 2008″ on a FS monitor for video output. Not a bad footie game. Decent graphically, although some detail is missing when it comes to crowd backdrops. The players are decent to look and are good enough to be fairly convincing. Sound and commentary are good and dont seem to slow the gameplay down. Controls are average and are capable of keeping you in control overall. Its nothing special but gets the job done. 7.2 rated

PSPscene – Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End – Sony PSP
Shiver my timbers, pieces of eight, walk the plank you scurvy ridden sea dog….. We all love a good pirate story dont we? Well this PSP pirate based adventure is a mixed bag, it offers fairly good graphics, with nice enviroments and decent character animations, something you would expect from a disney titled movie game. The sound and music are capable, they are pretty much what you’d expect from a pirate adventure game. The cockney voices used to voice over for some of the pirates lines are pretty stupid but equally funny. Gameplay is the games weakness, mainly due to lack of variety in the game, theirs only so much hack n slashing you can do before repetitive encounters drive you potty. The game has puzzle elements thrown in occassionally but they are fairly basic and dont take much thought. The controls are a simple affair and wont stretch anyone to much, they are responsive enough to follow the adventure. I’d never class this pirate yarn as a bad game, it’s just lacking that something to keep you hooked and intrested, the graphics help but the gameplay needed more bite, it’s all average adventuring, pirates are supposed to be exciting afterall. It wont shiver your tibers to much, I’d give it 6.7 pieces of eight and not a penny more! lol 6.7/10 Rated.

Sony PSP Phone / PSP Tablet
Sony PSP Phone / PSP Tablet first details. Otherwise known as the psphone and pspad. Earlier this morning, the wall street journal reported that Sony Inc. is developing a new lineup of hand held portable devices including a smart phone and a multifunction device that has netbook, e-reader, and PSP functions. The video above will summarize this along with show some concept photos of the devices. The big question relating these two devices is what the OS on the devices will have. Most definitely, there will probably be a modified Play Station OS, but there could always be an alternative such as the devices having Android. One down side of having the Play Station OS is there wont be a core application store as good as the Android Marketplace or iphone App store. What do you think of these devices? PSPscene – Cabela’s Dangerous Hunts – Sony PSP
This video shows a psp slim running “Cabelas Dangerous Hunts” via a FS monitor for video output. First of the Cabelas hunting games for psp. This ones pretty funny at times, then things can get a little creepy in the woods at night. The graphics are rather basic and are average at best. sound is used well, with good voice overs and capable enviroment SFX. Up tempo music helps create excitement at the right moments. Controls are rather basic and responsive enough to get the job done. It’s hard to recommend, but i love it anyways. 7.0/10 rated.

PSPscene – PDC WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP DARTS – SONY PSP
This video shows a psp slim running “PDC WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP DARTS” via a FS monitor for video output. psp owners have had to wait quite a while for darts game for there handhelds. Now it has arrived, I’m sure people will loathe the awful controls we have been served up. The game looks pretty pleasant as the players come out to take up the hockey. Nicely drawn graphically, with fairly good detail. The sound and commentary is good, the usual barm-pot welsh comments adding to the darts experience. Controls are pretty Dire, with very very little control over the actual dart throwing, infact you soon realise it’s almost down to luck where your darts actually go. This actually leads you to packing the whole thing in pretty damn quickly. The first darts game for psp, it’s no bullseye! more a bullshite! Could have been a good game but the appalling control system kills it stone dead. 4.7
