One download from Playstation network will put the arcade quality Vanguard on your Playstation 3 and Sony PSP. Vanguard is one of the original SHMUP video games. Originally released in 1981 to the arcades Vanguard combines top down vertical scrolling shooting with 2D horizontally scrolling shooter sections. Vanguard won over countless fans with its Atari 2600 port and excellent Atari 5200 version (sadly the controls were terrible). The PS3 version of Vanguard is true to the original, old school and fun.
