A Small Number Of The Best Movies From All Type

by Kimberly C Lee on October 7, 2009

Everybody seems to have a clear favorite when it comes to movie genres. A few are partial to horror movies, some like action movies, some fancy dramas or chick flicks and a lot of of us get pleasure from excellent documentaries. But even though we have favorites there are always movies from the other genres that we end up loving too.

There are great movies of every different kind. Movies are made for entertainment so every movie ever made appeals to a few folks. Of course, there are those few movies that each person seems to adore.

All of the lists of the greatest movies are clouded by the judgment of the list maker. Most lists do include the blockbuster hits but no list is ever complete because there will always be a movie that someone loved that is left off the list. You just cannot list every person’s favorites.

Dramas charm lots of folks. A few of the best drama’s from contemporary times consist of Schindler’s List” from 1993, “American Beauty” from 1999, “The Shawshank Redemption” from 1994 and “Forrest Gump” also from 1994. More recently would be “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” from the year 2004 and “Slumdog Millionaire” from 2008. And there are many others, too many to talk about.

Horror movies are pleasurable if you love to be terrified and most of us do at times. Some classics that must be seen are “The Exorcist”, “Silence of the Lambs” and “The Shining”. Some more current terrifying flicks are “30 days of Night” and “The Saw’ franchise movies. You can’t overlook the “Friday the 13th” and “Halloween” movies. Stephen King has always scared the bejesus out of us so anything from him is typically really good.

Comedy movies entertain every person. Who doesn’t like a good giggle? “The 40 year old virgin” may only be appropriate for adults but it will make you laugh till you cry. There are a few actors that seem to go with the comedy movies, Adam Sandler and Jim Carrey of course. And all of the ex- actors on Saturday Night Live make funny movies. Evaluate “Baby Mama” with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler or Will Farrell in “Semi-Pro” or “Blades of Glory”

The chick-flicks are the movies that people are liable to watch again and again. Try “Sweet Home Alabama” or “Just Like Heaven” if you like Reese Witherspoon. “What Happens In Vegas” was a entertaining chick-flick from 2008. And there are some older favorites like “Sleepless in Seattle” and “Fools Rush In”. Seems that everyone has a preferred chick flick.

There are millions of movies to choose from and now you can download them immediately to your computer, no waiting, no late fees, no problems. Transfer them to a CD and you can watch anytime anyplace you want.
